A walk with the angel of my shadow

Happy 19th birthday Manu..

Let's go for a walk tonight
just like you loved to do
let the rain caress our faces
let the moon light our way
and watch the sun rise in the east
just like you loved to do.

Picture of Manu and I.
medium: Pastels and sepia derwent drawing pencils on tracing paper.

2 minutes left of internet cafe' time and i wish I could comment on all this new art, but this has to be first. Wow, so much about this picture that I love. Let's start with the background. The colors are exquisite! The red is perfect, sets a mood, adds happiness, and in reality if the characters weren't even there and it were just the background I would call it a great picture. But the characters! ... your face is perfect, especially impressed with the sparkle in your eyes and the white highlights, perfect! And you really captured the happiness in his face, the exploration feeling as you both look to the side, the details that make him him to you. And last but not least, I love the way he blends into the picture, typically you and your skill and you know it! I bet this picture means alot to you Ely. I know how it is when you finish a masterpiece with sentimental content, and this is exactly that. Love it. Your art great as always, cheers!
